Parts

  • 1 - 1/8" mini phone jack (Radio Shack # 274-251) - they come in package of 3.

  • Two 4" pieces of 20 -22 gauge stranded red wire (Radio Shack # 278-1224) with 1/4" of insulation stripped off at each end.

  • One SPST Mini Momentary Pushbutton Switch (Radio Shack #275-1547C) - they come in a pack of 4.
  • One 2"x4"x1" Project Enclosure (Radio Shack # 270-1802) 
  • Two 1/2" to 3/4" 4-40 Round Head Machine Screws (Radio Shack # 64-3011) - they come in mixed package of 42
  • A piece of 1/8" to 3/16" plastic or wood (Masonite is great) cut 4-1/4" by 2-1/4"
  • One 1/8" to 1/8" connector (Radio Shack #42-2420)  

     

  • Show me what this stuff looks like.
Tools
  • 9/32", 3/32" and 1/8" drill bits and drill
  • #1 x 6" Phillips screwdriver
  • Soldering Iron and .032 or .050 rosin core solder (just a little)
  • A working adapted toy with a 1/8" mini jack to  test the switch.
